GEOLOGISTS’ EXAMINATION, 2012

A competitive examination for recruitment to the posts mentioned in para 2 below will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from the  1st December, 2012  in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Mines in the Gazette of India dated the  15th September, 2012

The categories of post to which recruitment is to be made on the results of this examination and the approximate number of vacancies:

Category I : (Posts in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines).

1. Geologist, Group “A” 300
2. Assistant Geologist Grade-I 67 (Group 'B')

Category II : (Posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources)

1. Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B),Group “A” 03
2. Assistant Hydrogeologists,Group “B” 12

FEE: Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/ PH who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of  Rs. 200/-

HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply  online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form have been given in Appendix-II. Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.

LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: The Online Applications can be filled upto 15th October, 2012 till 11.59 PM, after which the link will be disabled.
